Mrs. Anderson is 85 years old and depends on others <br />for grocery shopping and trips to the laundromat. <br />2. Atrs. Anderson needs this variance for self-improvement <br />and convenience. There is no utility room in her home <br />now. <br />The neiglibor to the rear o. the property was against the granting <br />of the variance for the reason that the proposed addition is not <br />in conformance with other properties in the area. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the <br />facts and testimony it was moved by Mr. Zook, seconded by Mr. Eckstrom <br />and unanimously carried to grant the applicant's request as it meets <br />all the requirements of Section 19.70.060 of the Everett htunicipal <br />Code, Paragraphs 1, 2, 3, and 4. <br />Mr. Russell returned to the Chairmanship. <br />A hearing was held on the application of D1ari1 n Loth, P. 0. Box 1436, <br />Everett, l4ashington 98206, for a variance rom Section 19.16.050 of <br />the Everett Municipal Code, Yard Requirements, Paragraph C, for <br />permission to attach an aluminum carport to the rear of the existing <br />residence and Ue able to come to within three (3) feet of the rear <br />property line rather than the Code requirement of twenty (20) feet <br />from the rear property line. <br />Legal Description: East � of Lots 17 � 18 Block 34�� <br />Plat of fiverett Division "L" <br />Address: 1632 Wetmore <br />Zoning: R-2 Single Pamily lligh Density Residence <br />Marilyn Loth represented herself and made the statement that the <br />Board of Adjustment granted a variance in PeUruary of 1976 to tlie <br />contractor to build the residence with a sixteen (16) foot rear yard <br />setback rather than the required twenty (20) fcet. There tiaas a <br />concrete drive�aay poured at that time but no carport was constructed. <br />Thereivere no further comments from the audience. <br />
