The Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expire by limitation if the + <br /> work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced I <br /> for a period of 180 days. If you wish to prevent the permit from expirirg without documentation <br /> of completion,you may: <br /> 1) Request an inspection of work that hus occurred, to document continuing progress, Ii <br /> or 2) Request final inspection if?he work is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> If the permit is allowed to expire and you decide at some future time to go ahead with the <br /> demolition,you will need to apply i'or a new permit. Please respond within 10 days.
