3221 Shore venue
Everett, Washington
November 3Q, 1967
F. H. BENNETT, Secretary
Everett Planning Commission
Soard of Adjustment
Everett, t4ashington
Dear Sir:
19e oppose the request by J. M. 0'Sullivan for a variance from
the ordinance for the following reasor.s :
1. The proposed 6' Fence wouid pass our house within
5' on the east, eliminating any sunlight into this
section of our home.
. The fence would extend southerly to Shore Avenue
along our common property line approximatly 120' ,
thereby detracting from the appearance of our
property and our enjoyment of it. In thi:. area we
have numerous plants and shrubs, which a u' fence
would deprive of the morning sun.
3. t9e agree that privacy is desirable, however, we are
of the opinion that it can be achieved by the
planting of trees and shrubs in a manner far more
pleasing to the entire neighborhood.
9. The ordinance that now exists allowing a 92' fence
appears to be satisfactory throughout the city; we
see no reason to alter it.
5. The 0' Sullivans have built a swimming nool in their
front yard. If they apply to the Commission for a
variance to permit tnem to construct a 6' fence to I
surround the immediate area of the pol we urge the
Commission to give it favorable consideration as i
there are many small children inthe neighborhood.
Thank you for your consideration in tnis matter.
Respectfully yours,
' , J I
 './ a % iJ /'-/. .-
Robert li.
