All teferences refer to the 1994 Umform Butlding Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Wazhington State Energy Code 1995 Edition, unless stated utherwise. The plans as submitted do not meet the pascriptive requicements for lateral bracing per Section 2326.4.1 UBC. 2. Braced wall lines shail consist of braced waU panels which meet the requircments for location, type and amount of bracing specified in Table 23-I-W andare in line or offset frorc. each other by not more than 4 feet (1219mm). Braced wall pa^els shall start at not more than 8 feet (2438mm) from each end of a braced wall line. All braced wall panels shall be clearly indicated on the plans. Construction of braced wall panels shall be by one of the methods specified in Section 2326.L 13 UBC. 3. Provide smoke detectors in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area giving access to each sepazate sleeping area. (310.9 UBC) 4. Provide 1-3/8" solid core wood door with self closer between house and gazage. Prepare a response letter showing where each item in this coirection letter is addressed on the plan set.
