The undergrc�und detention facility <br /> would help to reduce the frequency of CSOs at 36'"St. Reducing the frequency of CSOs at 36"St <br /> would raluce the probabiliry that Public Works will need to expend funds in the future to rcduce <br /> CSO fm�uency to the state-requircd long tertn avsrage of one event per year.The Multi-Modal <br /> detention facility would be built larger then is required for mitigating stortnwater impacts of the <br /> Multi-Modal facility. Public Works would then pay the cost of oversizing. <br /> I propose that we utiliu fund 340 to finance Public Works' share of underground detention <br /> facilib ost. Based upon preliminary infortnation that will na�to be�erified,a total of <br /> S 182,418 has been paid into fund 340,progiam 780(the progtam for du combined sewer area, <br /> which the muld-modal faciliry is within). A total of 5170,377 in expenxs has been incurted for <br /> past projects in the combined sewer area. In addition, S697,771 in investrnent retum hes accnud <br /> in fund 340. I propose that 596,954 be budgeted for Public Work's cost share. This is ba4ed upon <br /> program 780's proportionate sharc of fund 340 investment retum(584,913)end the differcnce <br /> between revenue received and expenses paid for program 780(S12,041). <br /> Pleese verify that 596,954 is available for this project.Thanks. <br /> C.C.
