6915-60th St. S. E.
Everett, WA 98205
May 18, 1984
City of Everett
3200 Cedar
Everett, Washington 98201
Attention: Mr. Larry Crawford
MAY 21 19811
..........
CITY OF EVERETT
PrCie Works Der".
Reference: Quilliam
3901 Smith - right-of-way lease
Gentlemen:
We are the owners of the building located at the southeast corner
of 39th and Smith. Previously we submitted an application for right-of-way
conditional use permit. Pursuant to our recent conversation we world be
agreeable to leasing from the city that portion of the property described
in the enclosed plot drawing. My understanding is the lease will be for the
amount of 15C per square foot presently for a period of one year. My under-
standing also is that the city is contemplating increasing the lease rental
rate for public rights -of -way.
i respectfully request that this lease and use permit be submitted and
added to the agenda at -he next meeting of the council in May. A new tenant is
going to occupy this building on the 15th of June. I have made arrangements to
have the fencing ir.stalled on the 12th of June provided the work permit is
approved. As per the enclosed sketch, the proposed right-of-way leased will
not interfere with traffic and the fence line set back will still allow for
parking median. Further, the fence will not interfere with sidewalk or curb
extensions should an L.I.D. be formed for those purposes which is doubtful.
There will be no material or activity on the leased area. The required space
is strictly for security purposes. We would be agreeable to holding the city
harmless for any damage or injury to person for the area leased if required.
I appreciate your attention to this matter.
Sincerely yours,
Fre am
FTQ:rmb Ste— o
