T11 oi the docks <br /> will be primarily of a floating type with horizontal support <br /> provided by timber piles. At some of the sites it may be <br /> necessary to design a portion of the dock near the upland (con. ) <br /> .o.�u�►OtE <br /> The boAt launch ramp and docks are part of an overall project <br /> known as Riverfront Park. The boat launching site is intended <br /> fpr trailerable boats. The canoe house dock facility is <br /> primarily for canoes and competition rowing shells. The <br /> north and south docks are primarily for passive use, such <br /> as fish�ng. <br /> Project cpnstruction is planned to beqin in early January, <br /> 1988; construction within the shoreline area wil.l be (con. ) <br /> o��eH��oc o+ o�Eooco o�r�4�.uTt�u� '^' <br /> At the boat launch facility it will be necessery to excavate <br /> peat and silt material nnd install a gravel sub-base in <br /> the area underneath the lAunching ramps. This activity <br /> wi21 occur in an area approximately 70 feet by 120 £eet. <br /> Excavation depth aill be a maximum of 1 foot, for a volume <br /> of 311 cubic yar�7s. Excavated ^�aterial will be disposed <br /> of at an off-site uplaiid area .
