Changes that aill not reduc= bio- Piltering ability will be allowed for two of the =wales. The other swales will be reconstructed to meet the designs shovn on the aite plans. The grass lined swale along the south side of building "M" has been conetructed �ritt a length of approximataly 105 feet instead of the required 125 feet. The swale will be widened and the lonqitudinal slope decreased to increase the biofil- terinq ability of the swale to compensate for the shorter lenqth. The swale that begins near the east side of building "Q" has a s.�rt section of its length located between a rockery and a aidewalk. The two structures have been installed without adequate width `or the reqvired depth of che swale. To reduce the required room for the svale w?thout disturbing the awale's biofiltering ability, the creeboard will 6e prov'_ied vertically. A concrete wall will be built along the sidevalk side of the swale and the distance necessary between the swale flow and the rockery reduced by grouting the bottom af the rockery. In addition to the structura7. changes detailed above, it was agreed that the City of Everett's current grass swale seed mix would be used in place of the plant list provided on sheet 1.4 of the civil drawings.
