CON7RACTOR shall obtain and pay for all conswction permits and licenses. PORT shall assist COIV7'RACTOR, when necessary, in ubtaining such permits and licenses. CONTRACI'OR shall pay all govemrrienGd cha� ges and inspection fas necessary for the prosecution of the Work, which are applicab'�e at the time of openin; of Bids. CONfRACTOR shall pay all chazges of utiliry service companies fa r connect�uns to the Work. Laws and Rey�lations: 6.14 CONTRACTOR shall give all notices and cort�ly with all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations appGcable to the Work. If CONTRACTOR observes that the SpeciScations or Drawings aze at variance therewith, CONTRACTOR shall give ENGINEER prompt written notice thereof, and any necessary changes shall be adjusted by an appropr,'. �• � ModiScation. If CONTRACCOR perfo�ms any Work knowing or having reason to rnow that it is � �ntrary to such laws, ordinances, ruks and regulations, and without such notice to ENGINEER, CONTRACTOR shall bear all costs azising therefrom; however, it shall not be CONTRACTOR's prin�ary responsibility to �nake certain that the Specifications and Drawings aze in accordance with such laws, ordinances, niles and regulations. Taxes: 6.15 CONTRACTOR shall pay all sales, consumer, use and otha similar taxes required to be paid by him in accordance with the law of the place of the Project. Use of Premises: 6.16 CONTRACTOR shall confine construction equipment, the storage of materials and equipment and the operations of workmen to azeas perntitted by law, ordinances, pem�its or the requirements of the Contract Doc�ments, and shall not unreasonably encumber the premises with construction equipment or other materials or equipment. 6.17 During the progress of the Work, CON7'RAC7'OR shall kap the premises free from accumulations of waste matecials, rubbish and othor debris resulting from the Work. At the completion of the Work CONTRACTOR shall remove all waste materials, rubbish and debris from and about the premises as well as ail tools, appliances, constructiun equipment and machinery, and surplus materials, and shall leave the site clean and ready for occupancy by PORT. CONTRACTOR shall restore to their original condition those portions of the site not designated for alteration by the Contract Documents. 6. I8 CONTRACfOR shall not load nor permit any pazt of any swcture to be loaded in any rt�anner that will endanger the sWcture, nor shall CONTRACTOR subject any part of the Work or adjacent property to stresses or pressures that will endanger it.
