She stated that the owner of the property is hard of hearing and that it might be difficult to communicate with him on the telephone. She asked what kind of work was being done that required a permit. I told her that we had observed ; open splices on electrical wires on the exterior and interior of the house the siding had been removed The deck joists on the south side of the house appeared to be over spanned for the spacing Untreated plywood was used as a walking surface for the deck The dishwasher in the kitchen appeared to be hooked up but was not installed in a cabinet Rafter tails viewed from the deck appeared to be new The niece told me that the roof had been taken off and replaced by Northstar Construction, there are no permits on record for the roof replacement. I told her that I would check with you to see what would be the next step. I also stated that we would probably need access to the house to determine what the next step would be. I told her that in an extreme situation that it is possible that we could post the house as'Unsafe to Occupy" if a condition existed that was unsafe to the occupants of the house. She stated that she would not be opposed to that, and that it would 6e easier to get the tenants out rather than going through the court system. So if you would, could you explain to me the preferred process for this house?
