If placed outside the building it <br />must be boxed, so that it can be easily reached, and so that it <br />can be protected from frost. All pipes, inside and outside, must <br />be laid free front traps so that they will drain when the waste is <br />open. <br />Pipes in the ground must be laid not less than twenty-four <br />inches below the surface. <br />All pipes must be run so as to avoid stoppages and all traps <br />must be well secured. <br />No bushing must he used to connect with the stop-eock at the <br />sidewalk; nipples or reducing sockets may be'nsed if neecssnry. <br />No pipe cau run between the Company's service -cock and <br />main, :and in case ti water meter is set, uo pipe must he connected <br />outside the meter. <br />Plumbers ntay tarn on water for the purpose of testing their <br />pipes, but they must leave it shut off at the Company's service - <br />cock, and in no case turn on the water for consumers. <br />The water will not he turned of to run• premises until the <br />statement herein required ltas been furnished to the Congray <br />and the inspector shall certify that the work has been dote in <br />accordance with its rules rtnd regulations. <br />A.
