These comments address build�ng issues only, additional <br />rovisions or additions may be required by other depa.�tments (such as Utili6es, Plazuiing <br />or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Bu�ding Code, as amended by the <br />State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd Edition, unless <br />stated otherwise. <br />1. <br />i� <br />Provide detail of connecdon where house connects to top of foundation wall. <br />Show connection when joists are perpendicular to wall and parallel to wall. <br />Plans do not show footings or framing plans for front and rear porches. <br />3. All spaces shall be labeled as to their use. Show any proposed walls and/or <br />any proposed location of plumbing fixtures. <br />4. Smoke detectors are required in all sleeping rooms and in the comdor or area <br />giving access to each separate sleeping area. A detector shall be installed on <br />each story and in the basement. <br />5. Provide floor plan of existing house showing new walls, existing walls, walls <br />to be removed, stairs, and guudrail at new stazrs. <br />6. Show on plans Washington State Energy Code (WSE:,) requirements including <br />insuladon of below-grade walls, u-value of doors and wmdows, insuladon of <br />above grade walls, ceiling insulation. <br />Li� <br />Foundadon walls enclosing a basement below finished grade shall be <br />dampproofed outside by approved methods and materials. Six (6) mil poly <br />vapor bazrier dces not meet this requirement. <br />Ser,tion 1, typical basement wall, dces not show the proper location of <br />reinforcing steel in the wall.
