January 8, 1979 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett IIoard of .�djustment was held <br />at 7:00 p.m. in the Heariny Room of tlie Snohomish County Court- <br />house, Everett, TVA. <br />Mr. Russell presided, Mr. IIerg, BIr. Itristiansen, and D1r. Black <br />�ere present. Mr. IIaird �•;as absent. <br />Mr. Russell announced that iL-em T on the agenda, �Iorthshore <br />Construction Inc. is postponed for thirty (30) days because of <br />an incorrect publication. <br />A hearing was ]teld on the applicaCion of Dean Olson G04 Tamarack, <br />Everett, iJA 98203 for a variance from Section 19.42.010 of the <br />�verett Municipal Code, Corner Lots - Sight Clearance for permission <br />to construct a garage and come to within five (5) feet of the side <br />yard property line for z corner lot rather than the code requirement <br />; oP ten (10) feet from the side property line for a corner lot. <br />Legal Description: Lot 17 Beverly Ilills Div. �6 <br />Address: G04 Tamarack <br />.'.oning: R-2 Single-Family liigli Density Residence <br />�;r. John Cross, a building contractor, represented Mr. Olson and <br />made thz foll.owing statements: <br />L The utility shed along the east side of thc existing <br />residence will be removed. <br />2. There have been two variances granted to nei.ghbors for similar <br />uses pYior to this hearing. <br />There was somc discussion at this time on � letter written by the <br />?ubli-c Works Department of the CiCy of �verettt cencerniny cars parking <br />in driveways and causing oUstruction of pedestrian flow; the <br />residents were made acaare of this. Also, it was noted that the developer <br />would need to keep the proposed construction costs for the additi.on <br />belo�o the 508 value oP thc existing residence. <br />There was no opposition from thc audience. <br />After visually vicwing the subject property and considering all the <br />f.acts it was moved Uy bir. IIerg seconded by :dr. ICristiansen and <br />unanimously carried to deny the applicant�s request as it does not <br />�meet all the requirements o: Section 19.70.0G0 Paragraphs 1,2,3, and 4. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Joe and Lovetta Armitage, <br />5870 Cady Road, L•'verett, NA 96203 for a variance from Section 19.16.050 <br />(1) <br />
