Included is a locator map of proposed spiral stair location and specification sheet of the product I wish to install. I understand a secondary fire escape is required for azeas servicing a third floor, and that a 62" spiral stair is allowed tc service a maximum of 400 sq. ft.. I believe this proposal actually addresses the intent and flavor of the code, in that the other two bedrooms on the top floor both have window escapes at or under a single story above grade. Additionally, if the occi�pants chose the stairs they would actually have to go past the primary exit, the main staircase for �Nhich the entrance is at the bottom, enter and go ttunugh the master bedroom go out the French doors go around the deck then descend the fire escape to the back deck. As the master bedroom is the only area affected b,y the additional height of the garage the spiral stair will be servicing really less than 400 sq. ft..
