The current EvCC Chemical Hygiene Plan states that no concentrated
acids or bases will be discharged to the sewer. This is the practice we follow in our
chemistry labs and the acids and bases we do wash down the drain are of a pH greater
than 2 and less than 12.5 as per WAC 173-303-090(6).
I have included a copy of the relevant page from our Chemical Hygiene Plan for you
regarding this policy.
Please contact us if you have any more questions.
Sincerely,
Misty Radosevich,
Chemical Hygiene Officer
Chemistry Department,
Everett Community College
425-388-9422
mradosevichneverettcc.edu
