August 28, 2013 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., August 28, 2013 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, <br /> Gipson, and Bader were present. Council Members Stonecipher and <br /> Affholter were excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 21, 2013 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson reminded everyone that a March on Washington <br /> anniversary event will be held at Everett Community College tonight from <br /> 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Former Council Member Carl Gipson will be a speaker <br /> at the event. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader wished everyone a safe and meaningful Labor <br /> Day weekend. <br /> Council Member Murphy reported on his attendance at the Firefighter <br /> Combat Challenge. He thanked Eric Studerus, Fire, for bringing the event <br /> to Everett. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the Association of <br /> Washington Cities' legislative committee and the Sound Transit Board <br /> meeting. He stated that he has had a number of calls from citizens <br /> regarding issues on the 2900 block of Hoyt. <br /> Council Member Gipson remarked on his attendance at the Firefighter <br /> Combat Challenge. He stated that he has also been receiving citizen <br /> complaints related to the 2900 block of Hoyt. <br /> 231 <br />
