EVERETT CITY COUNCIL PRELIMINARY AGENDA <br /> 6:30 P.M., WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18, 2007 <br /> CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Roll Call <br /> Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Approval of Minutes: April 11, 2007 <br /> Mayor's Comments -2007 Mayor's Youth Achievement Awards Presentation <br /> Council — Presentation by the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau <br /> City Attorney <br /> Citizen Comments <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> (1) Adopt Resolution # authorizing claims against the city of Everett in the amount <br /> of $1,779,797.19 for the period of March 31, 2007 through April, 6 2007 <br /> (2) Adopt Resolution # authorizing payroll claims against the city of Everett in the <br /> amount of $2,982,911.42 for the period ending March 31, 2007 <br /> (3) Approve the settlement of a lawsuit, Snohomish County Superior Court Case No. 06- <br /> 2-07040-1, in the amount of $45,000 <br /> (4) To approve a rolling street closure beginning and ending on California Street <br /> between Rockefeller and Oakes (see attached maps) and the closure of Rockefeller, <br /> California to Everett Avenue, and California, Oakes to Wetmore, on July 4, 2007, 5 <br /> a.m. to 12 p.m., for 5K, 10K, and One Mile Family Fun Runs sponsored by the <br /> Everett Family YMCA with the following conditions: a motorcycle escort to provide <br /> safe passage for the runners, a volunteer flagger with safety gear posted at each <br /> minor intersection along the route, and two flaggers, one certified, at each major <br /> intersection (four way stops or electric signals) along the route. <br /> (5) Accept the Garfield Park Playground and Perimeter Improvements project as <br /> complete and authorize the Mayor to sign the Certificate of Completion with Tastad <br /> Construction, Inc., releasing retainage of $25,357.92 <br /> ACTION ITEMS: (to be considered individually) <br /> (6) Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment One to the Professional Services Agreement <br /> between the City of Everett and Harmsen &Associates, Inc. for Landscape <br /> Architecture Services <br /> (7) CB0703-16 — 3rd and final Reading — Adopt the Proposed Ordinance creating a <br /> special improvement project entitled "Northwest Neighborhood Park Playground <br /> Replacement", Fund 354, Program 035, to accumulate all costs for the improvement <br /> project <br /> AGENDA CONTINUED ON THE BACK OF THIS PAGE <br />
