RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): To approve a rolling street closure beginning and ending on California Street between Rockefeller and Oakes (see attached maps) and the closure of Rockefeller, California to Everett Avenue, and California, Oakes to Wetmore, on July 4, 2007, 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., for 5K, 10K, and One Mile Family Fun Runs sponsored by the Everett Family YMCA with the following conditions: a motorcycle escort to provide safe passage for the runners, a volunteer flagger with safety gear posted at each minor intersection along the route, and two flaggers, one certified, at each major intersection(four way stops or electric signals) along the route.
