8 <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> TO THE JUNE 1, 2006, PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> SNOHOMISH COUNTY CENTER FOR BATTERED WOMEN <br /> THIS AMENDMENT is entered into this day of , 2007, by <br /> and between the City of Everett ("City") and the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women <br /> ("CBW"), as follows: <br /> WHEREAS, the City entered into an Agreement with CBW dated June 1, 2006, and <br /> ending May 31, 2007, to provide one dedicated advocate for legal advocacy services to victims <br /> of domestic violence who reside in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties desire that the term of the Agreement be extended to December <br /> 31, 2007, so that CBW can continue to perform the work under the Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, to continue the same level of funding as contained in the Agreement would <br /> require additional compensation of$21,035 (7 months at $3,005 per month); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and CBW agree to amend their Agreement to (a) extend the time <br /> for completion from May 31, 2007, to December 31, 2007, and (b) increase the maximum <br /> compensation by an additional$21,035 from the current contract level of$36,060 to $57,095. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City and CBW mutually agree to Amendment No. 1 of the <br /> June 1, 2006, Professional Services Agreement as follows: <br /> 1. Paragraph 3 is amended to read as follows: <br /> This Agreement shall commence as of the date of execution of this Agreement <br /> and shall be completed by December 31, 2007. <br /> 2. Paragraph 4(D) is amended to read as follows: <br /> Total compensation, including all services and expenses, shall not exceed <br /> a maximum of fifty-seven thousand, ninety-five dollars ($57,095). <br /> All other provisions of the June 1, 2006, Agreement remain in full force and effect. <br /> 19 <br />
