Budget Remaining $38,500 Additional Required $-0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: Because of the series of power outages experienced at the Water Filtration Plant this last winter season, the Utilities Division needed to study the feasibility of `undergrounding' the power distribution system at the plant. The engineering study currently in progress is assessing the cost and effectiveness of several alternatives for power undergrounding. Information received from PUD will be included in the feasibility analysis. The result of this contract will be a feasibility report discussing the various likely alternatives including cost estimates and local distribution layouts. This agenda item is for a"no-cost" contract amendment, to extend the performance period and completion date of this project. This amendment also acknowledges the acquisition of ECS by TetraTech/KCM, under which name ECS is now doing business. The original contract completion date is December 31, 2005. We wish to extend this to July 31, 2008. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with TetraTech/KCM, extending the performance period and completion date of this contract.
