These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residential Code,) as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. Provide Smoke Alarms per International Residential Code (IRC) Section R314, Show on plans 2. Provide Carbon Monoxide Alarms per International Residential Code (IRC) Section R315, Show on plans 3. Show how interior rooms are provided with light and ventilation. Openings required for light shall be permitted to open into a thermally isolated sunroom addition or patio cover, provided that there is an openable area between the adjoining room and the sunroom addition or patio cover of not less than one-tenth of the floor area of the interior room but not less than 20 square feet. Show interior rooms on floor plan. The whole-house mechanical ventilation system shall provide outdoor air to each habitable space at a continuous rate of not less than that determined in accordance with Table M1507.3.3(1) per Section M1507.3.3 (IRC).
