I <br /> I1 All signs shown in the plans with a mounting height of 14 feet and below shall be <br /> 2 manufactured with a protective overlay film. The protective overlay film shall be a <br /> I 3 transparent, self-adhesive film that is solvent resistant and approved for use by the <br /> 4 reflective sheeting manufacturer. <br /> 5 <br /> I 6 All single sided signs shall be installed with a City of Everett date sticker as shown <br /> 7 in the Plans. The sticker shall be affixed to the back of the sign in the lower right <br /> 8 corner. The sticker shall be white vinyl non-reflective sign sheeting with letters and <br /> I 9 <br /> 10 symbols in black and shall perform satisfactorily for the expected life of the <br /> sheeting. No other manufacturer sticker shall be applied to the sign, and no sticker <br /> 11 is required for double sided signs. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Hardware <br /> 14 <br /> 15 All bolts and set screws for street sign mounting hardware shall be stainless steel <br /> I 16 as described under bolts in this section. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> I 19 8-21.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 20 <br /> 21 8-21.3(4) Sign Removal <br /> I 22 <br /> 23 Section 8-21.3(4) is revised to read: <br /> 24 <br /> I 25 (******) <br /> 26 Where shown in the Plans or ordered by the Engineer, the existing signs and, if so <br /> 27 indicated, the sign structures shall be removed by the Contractor. Where <br /> 28 indicated, the Contractor shall remove concrete pedestals entirely and backfill the <br /> I29 hole to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Where an existing sign post is located <br /> 30 within a sidewalk area, the Contractor shall remove the post and finish the area to <br /> 31 make the sidewalk continuous. Wood signs, wood sign posts, wood structures, <br /> I 32 windbeams, and other hardware not to remain the property of the Contracting <br /> 33 Agency shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed from the <br /> 34 project. <br /> I 35 <br /> 36 Contracting Agency Owned Equipment <br /> 37 A portion of the existing permanent signing assemblies to be removed shall remain <br /> I 38 the property of the Contracting Agency. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Where called for in the Plans, the following shall be disconnected, dismantled, and <br /> I 41 delivered to the Contracting Agency: <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Aluminum signs <br /> 44 <br /> 111 45 Traffic signs which remain the property of the Contracting Agency shall be <br /> 46 palletized, banded with stainless steel banding, and delivered to: <br /> 47 <br /> 48 City of Everett Pole Yard <br /> 49 4015 Railway Ave. <br /> 50 Everett, WA 98201 <br /> I <br /> CITYWIDE INTERSECTION SIGNING <br /> FED AID#HSIP-000S(439);COE#3628 67 November 16, 2016 <br />
