Provide thermometric equipment: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 • In the asphalt binder feed line near the charging valve at the <br /> I 12 mixer unit, capable of detecting temperature ranges expected in <br /> 13 the HMA and in a location convenient and safe for access by <br /> 14 Inspectors. <br /> I 15 <br /> 16 • At the discharge chute of the drier to automatically register or <br /> 17 indicate the temperature of the heated aggregates, and situated <br /> I18 in full view of the plant operator. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 3. When heating asphalt binder: <br /> 21 <br /> I <br /> 22 • not exceed the maximum temperature of the asphalt binder <br /> 23 recommended by the asphalt binder supplier. <br /> 24 <br /> I 25 • Avoid local variations in heating. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 • Provide a continuous supply of asphalt binder to the mixer at a <br /> I <br /> 28 <br /> 29 uniform average temperature with no individual variations <br /> exceeding 25°F. <br /> 30 <br /> I 31 4. Provide a mechanical sampler for sampling mineral materials <br /> 32 that: <br /> 33 <br /> I <br /> 34 • Meets the crushing or screening requirements of Section 1-05.6. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 5. Provide HMA sampling equipment that complies with WSDOT <br /> 37 SOP T-168. <br /> I 38 <br /> 39 • Use a mechanical sampling device installed between the <br /> 40 discharge of the silo and the truck transport, approved by the <br /> I <br /> 41 Engineer, or <br /> 42 <br /> 43 • Platforms or devices to enable sampling from the truck transport <br /> I <br /> 44 without entering the truck transport for sampling HMA. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 6. Provide for setup and operation of the Contracting Agency's <br /> I 47 field testing: <br /> 48 <br /> 49 • As required in Section 3-01.2(2). <br /> 50 <br /> 51 7.
