RESOLUTION NO. 4606 <br /> A RESOLUTION in support of Mayor Ed Hansen's Presidency <br /> of the Association of Washington Cities (AWC). <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Mayor Ed Hansen has served on the Association of <br /> Washington Cities Board since 1995 representing Snohomish County's District 8; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mayor Hansen has served as Vice-President and Executive <br /> Committee member of the AWC since December 11, 1997, when he was elected to fill <br /> a vacancy; and <br /> WHEREAS, the progression of AWC offices advances the Vice-President to <br /> President each June. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, The Everett City Council recognizes the importance of <br /> the 278-member Association of Washington Cities and its efforts to inform the state <br /> Legislature on municipal interests, provide training for elected officials and city staffs, <br /> and offer technical assistance and publications.
