440,04 <br /> oi/Scri <br /> .7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4603 <br /> A resolution for waiving the public bidding requirements and for the sole source purchase from <br /> GTE Communications/GTE Northwest Incorporated, for telecommunications equipment that <br /> supports the maintenance and growth of the existing telecommunications network. <br /> Whereas, the Telecommunications Division requires equipment on an as needed basis to meet the <br /> demands of the city's telecommunications network; and <br /> Whereas, GTE Communications/GTE of the Northwest, are licensed distributors of the <br /> equipment that supports the city of Everett's telecommunications network; and <br /> Whereas, GTE Communications/GTE of the Northwest, support the warranty of said equipment <br /> for the city of Everett's telecommunications network, and <br /> Whereas, the maintenance contract for said equipment is held solely by GTE who provides <br /> certified technicians to maintain the telecommunications network; and <br /> Whereas, funds are available in the Telecommunications Division Annual Budget, <br /> Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that the purchase of <br /> telecommunications equipment is clearly and legitimately limited to a single source, GTE <br /> Communications/GTE Northwest Incorporated, and that the Purchasing Division is authorized to <br /> purchase equipment as needed.
