IMC 507.12 requires the hood canopy to overhang or extend a horizontal distance of no less than <br /> 6 inches beyond the edge of the top horizontal surface of the appliance/s on all open sides. <br /> 3. The plans should include the requirement for a grease duct leakage test prior to cover up in <br /> accordance with IMC 5063.2.5. <br /> 4.
