BEGINNING at the intersection of a line 180.00 feet Easterly of, and parallel to, <br /> the West line of said Northwest quarter of said Section 4 and mid-channel of the <br /> Snohomish River; THENCE, Easterly along said mid-channel of said river to <br /> intersect the East line of said Northwest quarter; THENCE, South along said <br /> East line of said section to the Southeast corner thereof; THENCE, West along <br /> the South line of said subdivision of said section to the Southwest corner thereof; <br /> THENCE, North along the West line of said subdivision of said section to the <br /> Northerly right of way line of the new Lowell-Snohomish River Road; Thence, <br /> East along said Northerly right of way line of said road to interest a line 180.00 <br /> feet East of, and parallel to the West line of said subdivision of said section; <br /> THENCE, North 180.00 feet distant from, and parallel to said West line of said <br /> subdivision of said section to intersect the mid-channel of the Snohomish River, <br /> and the POINT OF BEGINNING. <br /> All in Snohomish County, Washington. <br /> Section 2: Map Attached <br /> Attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference a Exhibit "A" in a map <br /> which identifies the land area being annexed. <br /> Section 3: Assumption of Indebtedness <br /> Upon annexation of the land area described in Section 1, said property shall <br /> become a part of the City of Everett, and shall be subject to all of its laws and <br /> ordinances then and thereafter in force. Upon annexation of the above- <br /> described land area, all said property within the area shall be assessed and <br /> taxed at the same rate as other property located within the City, to pay for any <br /> outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted prior to or existing at the date of <br /> this annexation. In addition, the annexed area will remain responsible unto any <br /> other lawfully formed municipal corporation to which the property is obliged at the <br /> time of annexation subject to a specific lien. Further, the City may incur <br /> additional operating expenses in supplying water or sewage to persons who are <br /> located within the annexed area. Accordingly, utility rates for the area for which <br /> annexation is petitioned may vary from rates of other areas within the city. <br /> Section 4: Land Use Designation <br /> The Comprehensive Plan designation of 6.1 Agriculture / Rural Shoreline for the <br /> area, adopted July 17, 1996, in Ordinance 2161-96, is hereby affirmed as the <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation for the annexation area. <br /> 2 <br />
