CITY <br /> LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> THIS LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING is made and entered into by and between <br /> EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS, hereinafter the "District," and the CITY OF EVERETT, <br /> hereinafter the "City,"pursuant to the authority granted the District and City in the <br /> Interlocal Agreement between the parties regarding cooperative use offacilities, <br /> equipment, and personnel dated Sept. 7, 1999 <br /> PURPOSE <br /> It is the purpose of this letter of understanding to provide a cooperative working <br /> relationship between the District and the City in the purchase and installation of one <br /> competitive diving board, and the diving board stand repositioning to meet District swim <br /> team standards at the Forest Park Swim Center. <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> I. The District shall be responsible for: <br /> A. Providing all necessary specifications and requirements to the City for the <br /> purchase and installation of one diving board and repositioning of the diving <br /> board stand as part of the City managed bid process. <br /> B. Reviewing the bids received by the City. <br /> C. Reimbursement to the City of Everett for the full cost of the purchase and <br /> installation of one competitive diving board and the diving board stand <br /> repositioning within 30 days of receiving invoice from the City of Everett up to a <br /> maximum amount of$15,000 including WSST. <br /> D. Payment of$1,000 to the City of Everett to offset a portion of all future costs of <br /> maintenance and repairs to the diving board. <br /> II. The City shall be responsible for: <br /> A. Soliciting 3 bids through the City purchasing process for the acquisition and <br /> installation of one competitive diving board and diving board stand repositioning. <br /> B. Providing 3 bids to the Everett School District for its review. <br /> C. Purchasing one diving board and repositioning the diving board stand that meets <br /> the specifications of the Everett School District. <br /> D. Providing on-going maintenance and repair as needed for the diving board and <br /> stand. <br />
