The Cultural Commission has <br /> developed a proposal for artwork to be installed in the plaza overlook. The artwork will consist of a 27 1/2 <br /> foot round compass rose inlay in the paved area. <br /> Grand Avenue Park was created in 1906, and the compass rose hasgreat significance to the history of the <br /> Everett waterfront. The $25,000.00 cost of the artwork will be paid from Fund 112, created from one <br /> percent of building and construction costs set aside for the arts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Glen Anderson for the design, <br /> fabrication and installation of an art piece titled"Compass Rose" for the plaza overlook at Grand Avenue <br /> Park in the amount of$25,000.00. <br /> 1 <br />
