The project will be conducted in three phases including planning/predesign, <br /> design and construction management. This project is required to ensure that the plant recycle water does not <br /> mix with plant intake water and interfere with treatment. Cosmopolitan Engineering Group was selected for <br /> this work based on their level of experience and expertise in outfall design and water body modeling. They <br /> have successfully completed several major design and modeling projects for the City's Water Pollution <br /> Control Facility. Their work is highly respected in the industry and with the regulatory agencies. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with the City of Everett and Cosmopolitan <br /> Engineering Group in the amount of$120,000 to conduct hydraulic studies and design new water intake and <br /> outfall systems in the Lake Chaplain Reservoir. <br />
