Amount Budgeted $2,500,000.00 Expenditure Required ($350,000:00) Account Number(s): Fund 308 Budget Remaining $2,150,000.00 Additional Required - 0.- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City of Everett entered into an agreement with Perteet, Inc., On April.25, 2007., to.design the Riverfront civil projects,including an access bridgeinto the Simpson site, HDR wasproposed as a subcontractor for Perteet to provide the pre-design, design, and construction support for the bridge. Currently, contract issues exist between the two firms,preventing HDR from signing their sub-consultant agreement with Perteet for the bridge design. HDR was the designer for the adjacent 41St Street Overcrossing project and has completed studies for the proposed Simpson access bridge. City staff is recommending the bridge design be removed from Perteet's agreement and added to the agreement with HDR for other Riverfront-related work. Both firms agree Amendment No. 1 will give City staff direct control of the bridge design and will allow the design to proceed without further delay. Amendment No. 1 will decrease the existing agreement with Perteet by$350,000.00.
