Also, prior existing State law provides authority for police officer vehicle <br /> impoundment where a vehicle is parked in a properly-signed commercial loading zone, restricted parking <br /> zone, or other similar zone. This proposed ordinance would expand the Everett Municipal Code's vehicle <br /> impoundment ordinance to include the 2007 State Legislature amendments, as well as prior existing state law <br /> regarding vehicle impoundment in a commercial loading zone. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance relating to the <br /> impoundment of vehicles by police officers and parking enforcement officers, amending Section 1 of <br /> Ordinance No. 993-83, as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1068-84, Ordinance No. 1531-88 and <br /> Ordinance No. 2396-99 (EMC 46.10.010). <br /> 87 <br />
