SECTION 00020 <br /> NOTICE TO BIDDERS <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the Everett Water Filtration Plant and Water Pollution <br /> Control Facility Standardized Security and Access Management System Project will be received at the <br /> office of the City Clerk, ls` Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, <br /> until 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and <br /> publicly read aloud in the Public Meeting Room of the Wall Street Building. The engineer's estimate <br /> for this project is $1,000,000. <br /> The character and scope of the work may include, but is not limited to the summary of work as <br /> specified in Section 01010. <br /> Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project may be viewed or ordered on- <br /> line from Builders Exchange at http://www.bxwa.com/publicleverett.html. The City of Everett <br /> strongly encourages contractors to register for the bidder's list kept at Builder's Exchange of <br /> Washington, Inc. Builder's Exchange is located at 2607 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201. <br /> Their phone number is 425-258-1303. ALL POTENTIAL <br /> BIDDERS, (PRIME GENERAL CONTRACTORS), ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS <br /> CONFERENCE AND BIDDERS MUST SUBMIT WITH THEIR BID A LETTER FROM <br /> NEXWATCH SUPPORTING THAT THEY ARE AN AUTHORIZED NEXWATCH DEALER. NO <br /> BID WILL BE RECEIVED FROM ANY BIDDER WHO DOES NOT ATTEND THE PRE-BID <br /> CONFERENCE. <br /> All proposals must be made upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be <br /> accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total <br /> amount(s) of the bid(s). A one hundred percent (100%) Corporate Surety Performance Bond will be <br /> required of the successful-bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. <br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. <br /> No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves <br /> the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
