This project is located in north Everett generally in the <br /> vicinity of Hoyt Ave., between 24th St and 17th St, and 17th St, between Hoyt Ave and Wetmore Ave. Based on the <br /> results a preliminary design study, needed capacity can be attained by constructing approximately 1,875 linear feet of <br /> 18-inch diameter sewer force main pipe on Hoyt Ave between 24th St and 20th St and 750 linear feet of 18-inch <br /> diameter sewer force main pipe on 17th St between Hoyt Ave and Wetmore Ave. Improvements will also include a <br /> special flow control structure at Hoyt Ave. and 20th Street to divert wet weather flows out of the Hoyt Interceptor and <br /> into the existing 36-inch diameter main on 20th St. <br /> In August 2006, URS Corporation was selected to provide professional engineering and design services and in July <br /> 2007 did complete a preliminary design study for the project. The present authorized contract amount for preliminary <br /> design is $82,609 and is supplemented by this amendment to add $283,550 for a total authorized contract amount of <br /> $366,159.
