Nakano and <br /> Associates is currently on the City's Landscape Architect roster. The firm has specialized in designing urban <br /> plazas for approximately 20 years. Nakano Associates is listed as a state certified Minority Business <br /> Enterprise (MBE), a federally-certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and a Small <br /> Disadvantaged Business (SDB). Its work includes the renovation of the International Fountain at the Seattle <br /> Center. <br /> The phase two professional services agreement with Nakano and Associates is in the amount of$196,120. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional <br /> Services Agreement with Nakano Associates for phase two design of the Everett Performing Arts Downtown <br /> Plaza Project in an amount not to exceed$196,120.00 <br />
