RESOLUTION NO. 6 4 8 8 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing use of the state wide electronic databases <br /> maintained by the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington <br /> (MRSC) as the City's Small Public Works and consulting services rosters. <br /> WHEREAS, RCW 39.04.155 and other laws regarding public works by municipalities allow <br /> certain contracts to be awarded by the small works roster process; and <br /> WHEREAS, RCW 39.80.030 requires that an agency publish in advance that agency's <br /> requirement for certain professional services and that one of the ways to accomplish that <br /> notification is to announce generally to the public its projected requirements for any category or <br /> type of professional services and request qualification statements to be kept on file with the <br /> agency; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City has adopted Purchasing Guidelines that provide procedures for <br /> maintaining Small Works Rosters and pre-qualified lists for certain professional services; and <br /> WHEREAS, MRSC provides and maintains statewide shared rosters that meet the requirements <br /> of the City's Purchasing Guidelines; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the Mayor is authorized to sign the attached membership contract with the <br /> Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington(MRSC); and <br /> FURTHER,that the City adopts the state wide electronic databases for small public works <br /> roster and consulting services developed and maintained by MRSC as the City's Small Works <br /> Roster and pre-qualified lists of certain professional services as referenced in the City's <br /> Purchasing Guidelines; and <br /> FURTHER,that nothing herein shall prevent a City department from maintaining additional <br /> paper and/or electronic rosters for small works or certain professional services. <br /> ,e „ I0 <br /> , r L____ <br /> C i ncilpers.i troduci Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 18th day of April ,2012. <br /> 1,9 Council President <br />
