RESOLUTION NO 6 4 91 A RESOLUTION concerning 2012 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of HOME and Housing Trust Funds -2060 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs, and Everett is entitled to receive $770,643 for 2012; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for 2012 CDBG funds, HOME, and 2012 2060 Housing Trust funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above committee; and WHEREAS, the first priority for use of HOME funds has been for the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP)program for Housing Rehabilitation Loans; and WHEREAS, the 2012 Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority, Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2012 Public Service Projects Recommended Community Health Center(CDBG) Primary Health Care $17,000.00 Everett Family YMCA (CDBG) Day Care $7,500.00 Camp Fire (CDBG) Camp Scholarship Assistance $3,000.00 Imagine Children's Museum (CDBG) Discovery Club $4,500.00 Assistance League (CDBG) Operation School Bell $10,500.00 Schack Arts Center (CDBG) $2,000.00 Art Glass Training Little Red School House (CDBG) $4,500.00 Early Intervention
