The City has been awarded a 2008 grant in the <br /> amount of$10,000 to draft a Historic Preservation Plan for downtown. The award winning Downtown Plan <br /> includes historic preservation elements, and this work is part of the City efforts to implement that plan. <br /> The City's application for this grant was reviewed and supported by the Historical Commission. The funds <br /> will be used to hire a professional consultant to help draft the Historic Preservation Plan for downtown. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2008 Historic Preservation Grant Agreement with the State of Washington <br /> Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation in the amount of$10,000. <br /> 17 <br />
