Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Everett Police Department has served as the Grant Administrator for the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant program since 1997. This Agreement with CTED relates to use of grant program funding to improve the criminal justice and community response to violence against women in Snohomish County. The grant funds from CTED are distributed equally for(1)victim services,(2)prosecution and(3)law enforcement. Participating members,along with the Police Department,are the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women,Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse and the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office. Agreements with the individual agencies will come forward for Council approval after this agreement is accepted. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Intergovernmental Agreement No. F07-31103-069 with Washington State Department of Community,Trade and Economic Development ("CTED")regarding utilization of FFY 2007 STOP Formula Grant Program funds. 24
