This application will provide GIS data to mobile field staff more efficiently and significantly reduce annual maintenance costs by allowing City staff to maintain and develop the software. The Request for Proposal (RFP)process was used to select a Vendor with the necessary experience and knowledge to provide licensing, implementation services and training to support this application. Requests for Proposals were sent to four potential bidders, advertised in the Herald and posted on the City's web site. Six proposals were received and evaluated by representatives from Public Works and Information Technology. Based on the superior functionality of their application in meeting the City's requirements, staff is recommending award to TC Technology. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Award Proposal 2007-090 for a Mobile ArcGIS Engine Viewer to TC Technology and authorize the Mayor to sign a contract for a total cost not to exceed $114,500.00 excluding taxes. 8
