Amount Budgeted Expenditure Required $199,000 2008 —June 2009 Budget Remaining Additional Required $199,000 To be included in Budget Amendment DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: At the time the City of Everett and Department of Ecology settled the Shoreline Master Program appeal with the Washington Environmental Council and the Everett Shoreline Coalition, we agreed to jointly pursue funding to study the Marshlands Area for tidal restoration potential. On January 9, 2008, City Council authorized the Mayor to sign an agreement with the State of Washington Department of Ecology to accept a $199,000.00 grant to implement the Marshlands Subarea Plan. Grant money will be disbursed through June of 2009. The current action is to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Anchor Environmental L.L.C. for$199,000.00 for consulting services to implement the Plan. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Everett and Anchor Environmental L.L.C. for consulting services to implement the Marshlands Subarea Plan.
