WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council the approval of <br /> various amendments to the text and policies of the Everett Comprehensive Plan, as well as <br /> amendments to the Land Use Map and the rezoning of specific properties to implement the <br /> Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a Public Workshop on June 26, 1996, and Public Hearings on <br /> July 10, 1996 and July 17, 1996 to consider the recommendations of the Planning Commission <br /> concerning various amendments to the text and policies of the Everett Comprehensive Plan, as <br /> well as amendments to the Land Use Map and the rezoning of specific properties to implement <br /> the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending several land use designations <br /> of the Land Use Map of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act requires that the City's Zoning Map be consistent <br /> with and implement the Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the rezoning of the specific properties described herein: <br /> 1. Is consistent with the Land Use Map of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; <br /> 2. Bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare; and <br /> 3. Promotes the best long-term interests of the Everett community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. The property located on the southeast corner of 19th Avenue SE and 120th Place SE, <br /> which is depicted as "Area#1" on the attached Exhibit"A,"and as set forth on the City of <br /> Everett Zoning Map as adopted by Section 2.020 of Ordinance#1671-89 and amended by <br /> Section 62 of Ordinance#2037-95 and which is legally described as follows: <br /> Lots 1A, 1B and 2, Block 2, Hanson's Addition to Silver Lake, as per plat recorded in <br /> Volume 9 of Plats, Page 89, Records of Snohomish County. Situate in Section 29, T. 28 <br /> N., R. 5 E., Willamette Meridian, in the County of Snohomish, State of Washington. <br /> Together with all abutting public street right-of-way located between the centerline of <br /> said streets and the boundaries of the above described property. <br /> is hereby rezoned from R-3 (Multiple Family Medium Density)to B-2B (Office). <br /> 2_ <br />
