• 'kM1n 4v......4 EVElRETT ORDINANCE NO. 2141-96 An ORDINANCE establishing water rates for customers of the Everett water system, and repealing Ordinance No. 1778-91 (Section 14.16.710 of the EMC) WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1778-91 was adopted on April 1, 1991 establishing the current water rates for Everett water customers; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1778-91 also called for a biennial review of the cost of providing water service to all customer classes, starting in 1992; and WHEREAS, the Everett Water System Plan calls for restructuring of water rates; NOW, THEREFORE, the Everett City Council does ordain: Section 1: Based on the recommendations contained in Everett's Utilities Water System Plan approved by council on December 28, 1994 encouraging water conservation by establishing a uniform volume rate for consumption of water by single family and other domestic users and reducing the number of consumption blocks for Commercial/Industrial water users; the Everett City Council finds that the rates and charges hereafter are reasonable. Section 2: Effective May 1, 1996, and thereafter, the monthly water rates and charges, monthly minimum charges, filtration charges, and provisions relating to rates and charges throughout the water system shall be as follows: A. Within the City Limits 1. Fixed rate accounts - minimum monthly water charge $13.90 Filtration charge 2.60 Total Fixed Rate $16.50 2. a. Domestic metered rates -water charge First 600 cu. ft., 0-600 cu. ft. $8.70 Next 2,400 cu. ft., 600-3000 Cu. ft. 1.50 per 100. cu. ft. Over 3,000 cu.ft. 1.10 per 100 cu. ft. b.
