Section 10. Employees represented by Everett Firefighters Local 46 shall have 3% added to base salary while meeting <br /> HAZMAT Technician standards. <br /> Section 11. Upon demotion,an employee shall be paid either at the step in the lower pay range which is the amount equal to <br /> the amount he had been at in the higher classification or at the highest step of the lower classification if all of the <br /> steps in the lower range are below the step the employee has been at in the higher classification. <br /> Section 12: All employees,except Library pages and those who are members of the Amalgamated Transit Union,Local 883, <br /> who are paid on an hourly basis as hereinafter or herein set forth shall be considered day laborers as defined by <br /> the City Charter governing civil service. <br /> Section 13: The addition of new classification(s)within salary ranges may be made by Council resolution during the life of <br /> this ordinance. <br /> Section 14: Any and all ordinances in conflict herewith of the City of Everett and all amendments thereto be and the same, <br /> are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 15: This ordinance recognizes a partial salary adjustment for non-union employees and that additional retroactive <br /> compensation may be provided once negotiations have been completed with union employees. <br /> Section 16: The City Council declares that an emergency exists,and this ordinance shall take effect immediately. <br /> 1 Housing Improvement Inspector: Incumbent only=06-018 <br /> 2 Council member: Subject to Ordinance 642-79 and 1785-91(effective 1/94) <br /> 3 Communication Technician: Hired after 1/1/87=01-019 <br /> 4 Pump Station Operator and Water Service Technician: Positions assigned to cross-connection responsibilities and possessing <br /> state certification=5%above salary <br /> 5 Associate Engineer(PE): Position assigned to Utilities Engineering with Water Distribution Manager IV certification=06-023 <br /> 6 Housing Inspector:Hired after 1/1/85=05-022 <br /> 7 Fire Captain-3%added to base salary while assigned as Station Captain <br /> 8 Firefighter/Paramedic classification-3%added to base salary while assigned as Lead Paramedic <br /> 9 Car allowance of$325.00 per month for use of personal vehicle.
