The inclusion of the Shelter will further activate the park <br />throughout the week. As part of the update and complementary to the Shelter, additional Master Plan <br />updates include an off -leash dog area, expansion of the park's interior walking trail system and additional <br />parking. The Parks Strategic Plan identifies the need to develop an additional off -leash dog area and <br />additional trails in the City. <br />The Planning Department completed the Master Plan update's environmental analysis on October 18, 2007. <br />Subsequent to the completion of the Animal Shelter relocation project to Langus Riverfront Park, Parks staff <br />will seek Council authorization to create a funding ordinance to develop the park amenities identified above. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the proposed Langus Riverfront Park <br />Master Plan update. <br />CADocuments and Settings\.SuClark\De k-topNw. 14 CounciTCSLangmRiverfrontMasterPlanUpdate3-14-08.doc <br />
