It was originally used to divert water from <br />the Sultan River into Lake Chaplin for the City of Everett's water supply. Since construction of the <br />Jackson Hydroelectric Project, the dam is used primarily to provide fish flows downstream of the project <br />and emergency water supply to the City. The Diversion Dam is classified as a low hazard dam and is not <br />required to have certain scheduled inspections. <br />This Professional Services Agreement will provide an assessment of the current condition of the diversion <br />dam and associated equipment for continued safe and reliable operation. <br />The funding source for this agreement is Fund 401 — Utilities $20,900.00 <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to execute the Professional Services Agreement with MWH Americas, Inc., to <br />provide an assessment of the Sultan River Diversion Dam and associated equipment. <br />
