This agreement will allow the City: to purchase from the numerous contracts which <br />have been competitively awarded by the State. Savings from the purchase of vehicles, fuel and other items <br />far outweigh the administrative fee collected by the State. The $10,000 fee will cover purchases in 2008 and <br />2009. <br />RCW 39.34 allows cooperative purchasing between public agencies (political subdivisions). <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign an <br />Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the State of Washington. <br />
