The Utilities Department is preparing to replace sewer mains
through the site this summer. Additionally design plans for a combined sewer overflow control facility at
this location will be completed by the end of the year. The cleanup of the site is intended to take place prior
to both of these projects.
In March the City Council approved an agreement to enter the Voluntary Cleanup Program at the Department
of Ecology for the Bond Street site. This amendment for professional services with Kleinfelder covers the
cost of completing the Remedial Investigation, Feasibility Study and Cleanup Action Plan report and the
preparation of bid documents for removal of the contamination.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 5 with Kleinfelder for the Bond Street Site Cleanup in the
amount of $36,140.
C"0
