• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2074-95 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the 1994 Editions <br /> of the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code Standards and repealing Ordinance No. 1885-92 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this ordinance serves to protect the <br /> public health and safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the absence of the regulations adopted <br /> by this ordinance would create a public harm and a public nuisance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City is mandated by the State to <br /> implement and enforce the herein adopted code; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: This ordinance shall be known as the "Everett Plumbing Code." <br /> Section 2: The Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code <br /> Standards, together with Appendices A, B, C, D and H and the Installation Standards, <br /> as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, as <br /> amended by WAC 51-26 and 51-27, being particularly the 1994 Editions thereof and <br /> the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or <br /> amended are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated herein as fully as if set out <br /> at length herein. <br /> Section 3: Amendments Made in the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform <br /> Plumbing Code Standard. <br /> A. The 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended by deleting <br /> Chapter 12 of the Code in its entirety. <br /> B. Notwithstanding any wording in the 1991 Editions of the Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code or the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards, neither the Uniform Plumbing Code <br /> nor the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards shall apply to the installation of gas piping, <br /> water heaters, or vents for water heaters. <br /> C. Section 20.2(a) of the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> amended by deleting: <br /> The Administrative Authority may appoint such assistants, deputies, inspectors <br /> or other employees as are authorized to carry out the functions of the <br /> department of this Code. <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> 1 <br />
