Where a nuisance exists or a plumbing system is maintained in violation <br /> of this Code or any notice issued pursuant to this section, the <br /> Administrative Authority shall require the nuisance or violation to be <br /> abated and, where necessary, shall seek such abatement in the manner <br /> provided by law. <br /> F. Section 20.03 of the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> amended by adding the following: <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made <br /> by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation of this <br /> code, there shall be and is hereby created a Board of Review pursuant to <br /> Ordinance No. 351-75 as amended or hereafter superseded. Appeals from <br /> written orders of the Building Official must be filed within thirty (30) calendar <br /> days from the date of receipt of the written order by the aggrieved party. The <br /> aggrieved party shall cause to be made at this own expense any tests or research <br /> required to substantiate his claim. <br /> G. Section 102(c) of the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> amended by deleting the following: <br /> (c) Administrative Authority - Administrative Authority is the individual <br /> official, board, department, or agency established and authorized by a state, <br /> county, city or other political subdivision created by law to administer and <br /> enforce the provisions of the plumbing code as adopted or amended. <br /> and inserting it its place: <br /> (c) Administrative Authority - The Administrative Authority is the Building <br /> Official and is the official authorized to administer and enforce the provisions of <br /> this Code. <br /> H. Section 117(j) of the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> amended by deleting the following: <br /> (j) Plumbing System - The plumbing system means and includes all potable <br /> water supply and distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and traps, all drainage <br /> and vent pipe and all building drains, including their respective joints and <br /> connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances within the property lines of <br /> the premises and shall include potable water piping, potable water treating or <br /> using equipment, fuel gas piping, water heaters and vents for same. <br /> 3 <br />
